Hello! We are Carly and Blake; a global pet sitting couple whose home is on Manitoulin Island (the world’s largest freshwater island), in Ontario, Canada. For 7 months of the year, we are away from home, lovingly taking care of people’s homes and pets. It has brought us to many interesting places in the world and within our own country of Canada. We absolutely love what we do! We are first and foremost, animal and nature lovers. We immensely enjoy establishing a loving bond with animals and gaining their trust and love, through patience, love and respect. We strive to give pets a stay-cation while their owners are away; with much love, cuddles, play, and outdoor walks and activities! We are always respectful, quiet and clean, and only want the best for your pets and home. We adapt to the animal’s regular schedule for walks, bathing, medical care, etc. We also enjoy special activities if the animal enjoys things like swimming or going to special outdoor areas as we are lovers of the outdoors!
We feel very blessed to have met so many wonderful people, their pets, and to have travelled to so many wonderful places in the world. We are very committed, reliable, and responsible individuals, who prioritize the well-being of the pets and homes we care for. We strive to provide you with the confidence in us, so that you can be rest assured while you are away, that your animals and home are well taken care of.
Our home is off-grid (solar), in a somewhat remote location on Manitoulin Island. We love the outdoors, and are blessed to live on a lake. We enjoy cycling, swimming (including cold water swimming), kayaking, bird and nature watching, and gardening. We have both been vegan for many years, and enjoy cooking and baking.
